The FXR Maverick X Helmet with Electric Shield is built for snowmobile riders who face extreme cold and fogging conditions. The electrically heated dual-layer face shield prevents fog buildup when temperatures drop and your breath freezes on contact, keeping your vision clear through the entire ride. The lightweight advanced polymer alloy shell combines with a dual-density EPS liner for impact protection without excess weight. The stainless steel chin-bar latch system features a posi-lock guide for secure closure. An ultra-high lift chin-bar uses a glove-friendly thumb-release button that works with heavy winter gloves, and the shield tabs are sized for easier use with larger handwear. The integrated drop-down sun-shade provides quick light adjustment, while the hi-flow adjustable air ventilation system includes an integrated drag reduction vent-spoiler. Meets DOT FMVSS 218 safety standards. The chin-bar and shield nest into the peak to prevent hooking when open. Weight is 1850 +/- 50g.
